Professional Statement
Why did you become a provider?
I have always been fascinated with living beings and the various diseases that affect them. As a kid, biology was my favorite subject. The role of a physician appeared miraculous in curing people of their illnesses using their knowledge of the human body and organisms around them.
What qualities best describe the care you provide to your patients?
I would like to think that I provide high-quality care and am, at the same time, empathetic. One of my favorite quotes is by Dr. Francis Peabody: "The care of the patient lies in caring for the patient."
Being a health care provider, what drives/motivates you each day?
Knowing that I make a difference in people's lives. It gives me immense joy when patients appreciate my work and are satisfied at the end of the visit.
What is the most important message you would like to share with your patients? What would you like your patients to know about you?
I would like them to think of me more as a friend and that I can guide them and make responsible decisions to improve their health. It is a team effort and their participation is key.
